Splitcheck: Shipping Profiles ("the app") is a Shopify app operated by sonali-dudhia. It shows which products have variants in more than one shipping profile and lets a merchant put all of a product's variants in one profile. This policy explains what data the app uses and stores.
What the app can access
When you install the app, you grant it two Shopify permissions:
- View products (
read_products): product and variant IDs and titles, and which shipping profile each variant uses. - Manage shipping (
write_shipping): to list your shipping profiles and, only when you confirm it, move variants into the profile you choose.
The app does not request access to customers, orders, payments or any other personal information, so Shopify never shares that data with it. Shopify's install screen groups permissions into broad categories: it lists the shipping permission under "orders", and every app that opens inside the Shopify admin is shown with "device and activity data" and "store owner". The app does not read orders, and it stores only what is listed below.
What the app stores
- Your store's Shopify domain and the dates the app was installed or uninstalled.
- The access token Shopify issues to the app, encrypted.
- The result of your latest scan: product IDs and titles, variant counts, and shipping profile names and counts for products with more than one profile. Each new scan replaces the previous one.
- A record of each change the app makes for you: product ID, target profile ID, number of variants and time.
The app stores no personal information about your customers or staff.
Technical data
Like any website, the server that runs the app receives the IP address and browser details of whoever opens it. The hosting provider may keep these in its request logs for security and troubleshooting. The app itself does not save them, does not track you and uses no cookies for tracking or advertising.
How the data is used
Only to provide the app's features to you. The data is not sold, not used for advertising and not shared with anyone except the hosting provider that runs the app.
Where the data is stored
The app runs on Laravel Cloud in the United States. Data is sent over HTTPS and access tokens are encrypted at rest.
How long data is kept
- When you uninstall the app, its access token is deleted immediately.
- All remaining data for your store is deleted when Shopify sends its data-removal request, 48 hours after uninstall.
Requests about customer data
The app answers Shopify's customer data and deletion requests. Because it holds no customer data, there is nothing to return or delete for a customer.
